We were delighted to hear that Dr Lily Withycombe ('02) is the curator of the major exhibition of Ancient Greek treasures currently showing at the National Museum of Australia. Lily graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a PhD in 2014, having written a thesis on religious architecture and topography of Augustan and early Imperial Rome. Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors and Heroes is on display at the National Museum of Canberra until 1 May 2022 and features more than 100 artefacts from the British Museum. 

We were similarly thrilled to see Angela Burford ('09) interviewed in Australia Burns - Silence of the Land as featured on SBS. Angela has extensive leadership experience with the NSW Rural Fire Service and in operational and administrative capacities with emergency services. Angela was a panelist at our Women of Influence Evening in 2020. It was a pleasure to welcome back Tahlia Jones ('20) via livestream to talk to our Legal Studies students about her work with A21. Tahlia joined A21 in 2021 working on the Design and Communications team doing promotions and social media to raise awareness about Human Trafficking. Our Legal Studies students learned that A21 have 19 locations around the world in 14 countries, working to abolish slavery everywhere forever. A21’s call to action is to create awareness of human rights, educate others in the rights of freedom and to encourage people to make smarter purchases in ethically sourced items. We were very proud to hear of Tahlia's involvement.
