Mentoring at LN
The 'Alumnae Career Chats Program'
In 2024, Loreto Normanhurst's Careers Department continues to thrive with its 'Alumnae Career Chats' program. This initiative, launched in 2020, pairs Year 11 students with alumnae nationwide for personalised career discussions conducted via Zoom. The program remains a cornerstone of the school's career development efforts, aiming to offer students valuable insights into diverse career paths.
The feedback we've received from participating students is a testament to the program's effectiveness in providing practical guidance and inspiration. The virtual format has allowed for seamless connections between students and alumnae, fostering a sense of community within the Loreto Normanhurst network. Our alumnae volunteers, who represent a diverse range of professions including law, psychology, business, engineering, journalism, nursing, and more, continue to generously share their expertise and experiences.
As Loreto Normanhurst adapts to the evolving landscape of education, the 'Alumnae Career Chats' program remains a testament to the school's commitment to empowering students to explore and pursue their passions in an ever-changing world.
