Welcome to LN Archives

Loreto Normanhurst opened its doors in 1897 as "Loretto Convent Hornsby" and became the home to 15 boarders and nine Loreto sisters. Since that time, the School gates have welcomed in thousands of "Normo" day girls (and boys) and boarders, many of whom have later returned to us as staff, parents or members of the Ex-Student's Association and the Parent Association of Loreto.

The Loreto Normanhurst Archives holds the historic and contemporary records of the School across its rich 125-year history, and is cared for by a Records Manager. Our collection includes items such as:

  • Photographs, slides, audio cassettes, videos
  • Oral history recordings
  • Uniforms, hats and personal items
  • School magazines, diaries and registers

We hope you enjoy this opportunity to engage with items from our archives and reflect on your own role in the Loreto Normanhurst story.

Share your LN story with us

As our School celebrates it's 125th anniversary, we will be featuring our favourite stories and images across each decade. Share your favourite LN memories and photos with us for a chance to be featured in our Flashback Friday posts.
