Our deepest admiration and applause go to Ellen Roberts ('09) and Liz Clay ('12) for their stellar Olympic debuts in Tokyo. Ellen competed with the Aussie Spirit softball team, stealing the show when she closed out their game against Italy. Liz progressed to the semi-finals in 100m Hurdles, running a fantastic race and achieving a PB. We were immensely proud to cheer on these sportswomen from afar.

We were thrilled to watch Sophie Dwyer ('19) compete in the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final for the GWS GIANTS recently. Sophie has also been selected to the Australian Development Squad and invited to the Aussie Diamonds Training Camp. We'll be keeping a close eye on Sophie and cheering her on as she continues to excel!

Congratulations to Greta Kraszula ('20), who has been granted a four-year Football scholarship at Virginia Commonwealth University; an outstanding achievement. Many of our alumnae will remember Greta as our 2020 Sports Captain and an active contributor to sport at LN.

Congratulations to Dr Virginia Small ('77) upon the recent publication of Strangling Aunty: Perilous Times for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Virginia's book was launched on 9 September, drawing from her extensive experience as an acclaimed broadcaster, journalist, communications consultant and current Visiting Fellow in the School of Business at UNSW ADFA Canberra.

Our congratulations and best wishes to Danielle Fairthorne (Jacquet, '05) for her upcoming involvement in the Australian Catholic Church Plenary Council. A champion of the needs and involvement of women in the contemporary Australian Church, Danielle will be representing the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. We are delighted to hear that Genevieve Jacobs AM (Ryan, '84) is hosting Plenary Tracker, a nightly webinar and panel discussion for the duration of the Plenary Council. Genevieve is the Group Editor of Region Media, chair of the ACT's Creative Advisory Council, co-chair of ACT Reconciliation Council and director of Conflict Resolution Service and the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture. We were delighted to welcome Genevieve as a speaker at our Women of Influence Evening in 2020.
