Our heartfelt congratulations to the members of our LN community who were recognised in yesterday's Queen's Birthday Honours.
Sr Deirdre Browne IBVM ('52) received a Medal of the Order of Australia for her service to community as a religious sister, and through music, education and the liturgical arts. Sr Deirdre served as Head of Music at LN from 1964-1973 and Province Leader of the IBVM in Australia from 1999-2005. She also composed our school song 'Cruci Dum Spiro Fido'!
Kate Eastman SC ('84) was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law, human rights and to professional organisations. Kate co-founded and headed Australian Lawyers for Human Rights, and has received a Justice Award and Women Lawyers Association Award for her global career in human rights.
