Announcing the winners of our inaugural Alumnae Year Group Challenge

As our Alumnae Year Group Challenge comes to a close, we celebrate the generosity of those who supported our Bursary Program and announce the winning year group!

We are thrilled to announce that the Class of 1983 are the winners of our inaugural Alumnae Year Group Challenge, having raised $5,140!

A special mention goes to the Class of 1988 for raising $5,100.

Overall, 36 year groups took part raising a total of $49,692 for bursaries, with 27 year groups reaching the $1,000 target.

We would also like to acknowledge the generosity of the Ex-Students’ Association and thank them for supporting this Year 12 initiative and providing $27,000 in matched funding.

This means that, with your help, we raised a grand total of $76,692 for bursaries for our students.

Special Mention

We would like to acknowledge the Class of 1975 for not only raising $1,800 but also taking the opportunity to pledge thei`r support of an Indigenous student for six years of their education.

This is an incredible example of a how a small number of alumnae, contributing a relatively small amount each year for six years, can offer a student the monumental gift of an education.

If you would like to discuss how you or your year can 'pay a Loreto Normanhurst education forward,' please don’t hesitate to contact Liane Giuliano, our Director of Philanthropy and Community Engagement.
