Our students and staff were very excited to welcome back to school superstar softballers and LN alumnae Ellen Roberts (’09) and Tahli Moore (’12) on 17 May.

Both Ellen and Tahli have been selected to the Australian softball squad and will be travelling to Tokyo very soon for final selection to compete in the Olympics. They generously presented first to our Year 12 students and then at lunchtime to staff and students about their sporting careers.

A huge thank you to both Ellen and Tahli for their warmth and honesty in sharing about the ups and downs of life in sport. They were such inspiring examples to our girls of Loreto sportswomen of grit, resilience and felicity!

“It was so nice to be able to share my story thus far... to have such great feedback from the girls is awesome. I just know that each one of them is going to achieve greatness and that is so exciting to think about.”

Tahli Moore

“My heart is so full after being amongst it all again today. I love the school atmosphere and culture, a privilege to be a part of again.”

Elizabeth Clay (’12) will also be joining Ellen and Tahli in Tokyo, representing Australia in the 100-metre hurdles. Liz is currently the fourth-fastest Australian woman on record for 100 metre hurdles.

We are so proud of these ex-students for their achievements, and cannot wait to offer them our support from afar as an alumnae community. Ellen, Tahli and Liz – your Loreto friends will be cheering you on!
