Meet Elizabeth ('13) at our upcoming Alumnae Normo Networking Evening, 14 June!

Elizabeth Etcell, Loreto Normanhurst boarder from the graduating Class of 2013, has carved a successful career in the defence industry.

After completing her Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Business at UTS, Elizabeth embarked on a journey in the defence industry, focusing on procurement and commercial functions. Her expertise and dedication quickly earned her recognition and accolades, including the prestigious Chief of Navy Environment and Safety Award for Excellence in Critical Risk Management in 2022. This esteemed honor was bestowed upon her for her exceptional contract work on the Hobart Class (DDGs), where she displayed exceptional skills in managing critical risks.

Currently, Elizabeth holds the role of Contract Manager at Babcock Australasia, overseeing the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHDs) Asset Class Prime Contract. In this capacity, she leads the delivery of crucial engineering, asset management, maintenance, and supply support services to the vessels. Her role is vital in ensuring the smooth operations of these key defence assets, contributing to the overall readiness and effectiveness of Australia's defence capabilities.

Elizabeth's achievements reflect her skilled capabilities and commitment to excellence in the defence industry. We commend Elizabeth on her achievements within the defence industry and look forward to seeing her, and other alumnae at our Normo Networking Event on June 14.
