To the Class of 2021,

I wish you the best of luck for the upcoming HSC exams. What a challenging two years it has been! I remember being in Year 12 in 2014, there was enough going on without having to worry about a global pandemic. I truly believe that you will all achieve amazing things. You have been lucky enough to attend a school that has made girls believe in themselves. Loreto Normanhurst allowed me to create friendships that I will have for a lifetime.

Keep believing in yourselves, you’re nearly there! Get the exams done and then on to the next adventure, whatever that may be! The world is your oyster.

Dear Class of 2021,

As you step into the examination rooms over the coming weeks please remember that you are remarkable! You have endured more turmoil and disruption than any class preceding you, yet you have risen to the challenge. You will not be defined by the results of these exams, but rather by your effort. The effort this year has needed has been extraordinary, and I am confident you have a little more left to get through the final hurdle of the exams. Be proud of what you have achieved in 2021, as the entire Loreto community is proud of you. Good luck, Class of 2021!

We all thought last year was a tough one for Year 12, but I know that this current year group has had an especially difficult year. So if I could give some advice to Year 12, it would be to make sure you have something exciting planned for the break after the exams to motivate you through these last weeks, and look forward to the opportunities that will come your way in 2022.
