We wish Angelique Nelis (’16) our congratulations upon her selection as one of Australia’s Top 100 Future Leaders for 2021, named by The Australian Financial Review and GradConnection. Angelique was also a member of the Class of 2016 guest panel who spoke to Year 12 at their Careers Day.

We are proud to announce that Anika Bharadwaj (’20) was presented with the inaugural E&M Greenfield Prize at the virtual Texstyle Presentation Evening in March. Anika’s HSC major work was selected as one of the 20 exemplary Textiles and Design projects on display.

Congratulations to Lua Pellegrini (’19) who was recently recognised by NESA for her achievement as the highest-ranking Aboriginal student in NSW for Aboriginal Studies in 2019. Lua’s art collection, featuring five works entitled ‘Our Past, Our Future,’ was also selected for debut exhibition on the Reconciliation Wall of NSW Parliament House in 2020. We were delighted to see Lucy Blomfield (’19) feature in the select VOX small choir at the Australia Day evening concert held at the Sydney Opera House.

Huge congratulations to Elizabeth Clay (’12) for her selection to the Australian Olympic Team for 100m Hurdles. We wish Liz all the best when she competes in Tokyo!

Our best wishes to Tahli Moore ('12) and Ellen Roberts ('09) who are in the Australian Squad for final selection in the Australian Olympic Softball team. Tahli and Ellen came to speak to our staff and students about their sporting careers in a wonderful presentation that you can read more about here.

Congratulations to Jessica Cerro ('13) who represented Australia at Eurovision 2021 with her song Technicolour. Read more and watch a performance here.

Congratulations to Harriet O’Malley (’85) who was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019 for her service to Australia-France relations.

Congratulations to Genevieve Jacobs (’84) who was recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours of 2021 for her significant service to broadcast media and community. We were delighted to hear from Genevieve about her career and experiences at Loreto Normanhurst at the 2020 Women of Influence Evening.

Congratulations to Natasha Luschwitz (’98) who received a Public Service Medal for her work in response to the 2019-2020 bushfires and during COVID-19. We were delighted to welcome Natasha as a special guest speaker to our Women of Influence Evening 2021. Click here to read more about the event and to watch a recording of Natasha's presentation.

Congratulations to Dr Virginia Small (’77) as she celebrates the upcoming publication of her book Strangling Aunty: Perilous Times for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Virginia is an acclaimed veteran news broadcaster, finance and economics journalist and communications consultant, as well as a current Visiting Fellow at the School of Business, UNSW Canberra.

Congratulations to musical theatre performer and actress Elise McCann ('02) who will feature as 'Mary' in the upcoming production of Merrily We Roll Along, which will open in June at Sydney's Hayes Theatre. This performance will join Elise's numerous other acclaimed theatre credits, which include performing the roles of Miss Honey in Matilda The Musical and Lucille Ball in Everybody Loves Lucy.

Congratulations in advance to Christine Kirkwood ('00) for the forthcoming release of her third record Songs for Bleeding Hearts. Since the release of her debut EP, Sinners Come & Go, Christine has produced several successful releases. Her work in voice over and session singing has seen her feature on campaigns such as triple j's Hottest 100. As a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, she composes music for film and television and has collaborated and performed with local and international talent across Australia's best loved venues. Christine is also currently working at AFTRS where she keeps the film and broadcasting communities connected as part of her role as Alumni Program Manager. You might also find her nurturing emerging Australian songwriters as the Director of live music night ‘For Folk Sake’ in Sydney.
